Obafemi Awolowo University Staff School was founded on the 31st of January 1967, on Road Eleven in a two-story building. The first day of school started with thirty-two pupils, five temporary and five permanent teachers, with Mrs. Davies as Head Mistress.
The school was moved from Road Eleven to its permanent site on Road Nine in 1968. The school began with classes from nursery one to primary three, and by 1981, Staff School had grown to classes from Nursery One to Primary Six with 1151 pupils and 32 permanent teachers.
Staff School was 58 years old on the 31st of Jan 2025.
